Athens Running Company is a locally owned and operated running specific store located in the Bottleworks complex near downtown Athens. We stock running shoes, walking shoes, athletic apparel, hydration products, and any accessory a runner could imagine. Explore our products page to learn more. We are a true running specific store that professionally fits our clients to running or walking shoes using video gait analysis. We carry multiple brands so that customers can always find the perfect shoe. This is a free service we provide because we believe that everyone should be wearing footwear that properly fits THEIR feet.

Who We Are
Athens Running Company is a locally owned running specific store in Athens, GA. It is owned and operated by Mark Schroeder and David Laggis, two friends that have known each other since middle school. We are a true running specific store that uses an advance foot scanner and video gait analysis to guarantee proper footwear fit. Our fit process is a free service provided to all of our customers. Many people do not realize that there are several different types of running shoes designed for how a runner's ankles react when their body weight is transferred to their feet. It is our mission to make sure that we fit all of our clients to the right shoe for them. During the process we explain to our customers what we are doing because we believe it is important to educate consumers.
At Athens Running Company we treat each and every customer that walks through our door as family. We are here for athletes who have been running their whole lives, and for people who have just gotten into the sport. It is our goal to never come off as intimidating because everyone has to start somewhere. We appreciate the fact that a beginning runner has decided to start a new sport by asking for advice and making sure they are getting the proper equipment.
We provide the highest level of customer service and have the knowledge and tools to properly fit runners of all levels. The average shoe on our wall costs $100 and the fitting service is completely free, so there is no reason not to come to Athens Running Company!
